		<description>Micheal - the thrust on the crankshaft is applied through the clutch plates via the flywheel when the clutch is engaged, this does not alter? the reaction which is reversed is that through the clutch fingers, when the clutch is disengaged, this now tries to pull the tripod mount off the block, rather than push the gearbox , or bellhousing off the engine? or am i missing something else?

Thanks for a clear, concise article.
I do not have detailed knowledge, but I am concerned that compensation for reversing the thrust to the crankshaft may prove difficult and costly in some Formulae.
