		<description>FLOW IS VERY CRITICAL FOR THE OILING SYSTEM, CONSIDERING THAT 80% OF THE ENGINES COOLING IS DONE THROUGH THIS SECTION. 
IN MOST POWER PLANTS, PRESSURE IS NOT A REQUIREMENT, WHEREAS FLOW IS. THIS FLOW IS RELATIVE TO WHICH VISCOSITY YOU CHOOSE TO APPLY AND ALSO THE BASELINE REQUIREMENT OF THE ENGINE. MOST ENGINE BUILDERS HAVE CHOSEN HIGH VISC. (ie. 20-50 WT), THIS IS DUE TO THE INEFFICIENCY OF THEIR OIL PUMPS TO MAINTAIN HIGH VOL. FLOW BECAUSE OF INCREASED CLEARANCES AT ENGINE TEMP. AS A RESULT OF TOO MUCH CLEARANCE IN THEIR PUMPS THEY ARE ALSO FORCED TO RUN HIGH OIL PRESSURES TO MAINTAIN ENOUGH OIL IN THE MAIN GALLERIES TO SUPPORT THE HYDRODYNAMIC WEDGE AT THE MAIN, RODS, AND CAM BEARINGS.  
THESE INCREASED CLEARANCES IN THE OIL PUMP HAVE CREATED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS FOR THE ENGINES OILING SYSTEM APPPLICATION. THE MAIN PROBLEM BEING CAVITATION OF THE OIL AS WELL AS THE PREHEATING DUE TO HIGH PRESSURE.
THE WORST BEING CAVITATION, CAUSING CAVITATION ERROSION, WHICH RELEASES TREMENDOUS HEAT ENERGY AS THE VAPORS COLLASE WITHIN THE ENGINE DEGRADING ALL THE COMPONENT PARTS
AND DRIVES UP THE HEAT CYCLE IN THE ENGINE.
    THE HYDRODYNAMIC WEDGE SUPPORTS ITSELF THROUGH SYPHONING OIL FROM THE MAIN GALLERY, THEREFORE IF YOU HAVE A PUMP THAT HAS TOO MUCH CLEARANCE YOU WILL HAVE AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF VAPOR IN THE GALLERY AND WITHOUT ADDING MORE PRESSURE TO THE SYSTEM YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUPPORT THE 
WEDGE BECAUSE WHEN YOU SYPHON A VAPOR BUBBLE YOU LOOSE THE SYPHON.</description>
